Burbank, CA – Flappers Comedy Club is opening its doors to the Community in and around Burbank for a “soft” Opening on Aug 27th & 28th and Labor Day weekend Sept 3rd 4th and 5th 2010. The club is offering local residents the opportunity to come and walk through the club and see shows prior to its official “grand Opening on Sep 9th 2010. A soft opening allows the club to test out it staffing and operations prior to a grand opening. The shows will be running with featured Headliners Jen Kobe, Doctor Trance the Hilarious Hypnotist, Michael Rayner and many special surprise guests.
Flappers Comedy Club Burbank, featuring a 1920’s theme “Still Celebrating the Repeal of Prohibition” has three separate dining and show areas. The main showroom seats 225 and will show off major comedy headliners from around the country. The club also has the very intimate “Yoo Hoo Room” which has 49 seats and is the home of Flappers University, School of Comedy. The Flappers Bar & Patio are open for dining 6pm.

For a “One Time” purchase of $1000 you can buy a Lifetime Membership card that gives you two FREE Tickets to any show, anytime (excluding Special Events) at any Flappers location. Offer up the “Two Milk Minimum” Grand Opening Show

Burbank, CA – Flappers Comedy Club and the Burbank Boys and Girls Club have teamed up for the Grand Opening of “Two Milk Minimum” on Sept 11, 2010 at 11:30am. A comedy show for Kids and familes will be offered every Saturday at 11:30am. The family friendly show features resident Host and Emcee Michael Rayner who has performed his comedy juggling show at: Six Flags over Georgia, Busch Gardens Tampa, Knots Berry Farm, and Universal Studios Florida. His television appearances include, The Late Show with David Letterman, 30 Seconds to Fame, The Extreme Gong Show, Attack of the Show, The Gong Show with Dave Attell, and What Would you Do. Michael also has his own hour comedy DVD that is part of the Bananas franchise. When not performing Michael has been a writer/producer for Nickelodeon TV, GSN, E!, The Spark Factory and UCP productions. Other celebrity guests include Corey Edwards, Director, Writer and the voice of the hyperactive squirrel Twitchy in Hoodwinked! (2005). Dee Bradley Baker, a prominent actor and voiceover artist for films, video games and TV shows such as Avatar: the Last Air Bender, Star Wars: The Clone War, Halo, and SpongeBob SquarePants will also be in attendance. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Today, the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley is committed to providing affordable after school, summer, extended day care programs and services covering a wide range of programs. Our young people continue to receive critical guidance from committed professional staff and dedicated volunteers through a wide range of educational and recreational programs. Our parents benefit from the Club’s low cost child care programs made affordable to everyone during after school hours and throughout the summer vacation months.
Two Milk Min features a wide variety of rotating comedy magicians, jugglers, musicians, improv artists, puppeteers and novelty acts that have been featured on Nickelodeon TV, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network and various network and cable shows. Designed for ages 5-14, however all ages are welcome. Come any Saturday and enjoy different comedians each week. Kids Menu and Lunch menu available. Doors open at 11:30 come early and grab some food. The shows will begin at 12:30pm and run until 1:30pm. That leaves time for you to bring in your own cake and celebrate a birthday after the show. No Cake Corkage- Just bring your own cake and plates. We also offer cakes for purchase. We offer Private rooms and shows for birthdays in our smaller Yoo Hoo Room..
