UNCLE CLYDE´S COMEDY CONTEST - is LA's Longest Running Comedy Contest, and you pick the winners. . There are eight preliminary rounds. In each preliminary round, 10 comics performs a five-minute set. A special guest performer or group is invited to perform at "Half Time" and at "Math Time" (the end of the show while the votes are being tallied). The 1st place winner receives $101.00 Cash Prize, 2nd place receives a $50.00 gift card from Flappers Comedy Club or from another location, and 3rd place gets a Clyde´s traditional Huge Side of French Fries. The top two finishers will be invited to perform in the Soup-Or-Bowl finals. Each Soup-Or-Bowl Audience Vote winner will receive $500.00 cash and the Judges Vote will receive a Professional Gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant. Second place wins a $50 gift card, and third place wins a huge side of fries. (As an added feature to the contest, Flappers will be adding an online voting component via Facebook (TBD). **The producers reserve the right to manage contestants in any way possible or to control placement of contestents in any and all ways possible.**
The Top Two finishers from each Soup-Or-Bowl Finals, (as well as the online winner and/or judges wildcard winner - TBD), will be invited back at the end of the year to participate in Clyde´s Playoff Week a run of 3 shows held at Flappers Comedy Club Mainroom Dec 16th 17th and 18th, 2014. First place in each playoff round will win $101, second place will win a $50 gift card, and third place will win a giant side of fries. The top two performers from each playoff round will be invited to perform in The Clyde´s Cup to be held on Jan 7th 2015 at 8pm in which ONE winner will win the title of Clyde's Cup, their name on a huge Trophy, along with a $2000 Cash Grand Prize, a professional gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant.. We have Celebrity Judges lined up from Comedy Central, Princess Cruises, Flappers Comedy Club, Comedy Festivals, MySpace Comedy, National Lampoon, and many more. Previous Winners have included Bil Dwyer, Bobbie Oliver, Randall Park, Samuel J Comroe, Keon Polee, Quinn Dahle and many more.
