As a junior at UCSD Kareem started his comedy career as a dare. Before long he was a regular at the La Jolla Comedy Store where he was featured in the documentary film "The Main Room". After graduating from UCSD Kareem returned home to Los Angeles and continued his career working in local clubs such as the Improv, Ice House, Comedy and Magic Club and Flappers. He immediately got television exposure on MTV and B.E.T's Comic View. He participated as a "new face" in Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival.
