As a junior at UCSD Kareem started his comedy career as a dare. Before long he was a regular at the La Jolla Comedy Store where he was featured in the documentary film "The Main Room". After graduating from UCSD Kareem returned home to Los Angeles and continued his career working in local clubs such as the Improv, Ice House, Comedy and Magic Club and Flappers. He immediately got television exposure on MTV and B.E.T's Comic View. He participated as a "new face" in Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival. He's appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and has been featured in dozens of national commercials for products such as Miller Lite, Nike, and Boost Mobile.

We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all participants to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny: *PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional: *Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive *We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. We’re doing our best to keep the mics as affordable as possible, given the current challenging economic climate. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Brian DeMoy grew up just outside Manhattan in Huntington Station. His father was a big comedy fan and introduced Brian to comedy with his first record, Who's on First. From that point on he was hooked. Watching comedy specials from George Carlin, Steven Wright, Eddie Murphy and more with his dad on the couch he knew he had to try it. Brian first got on stage while in college in Providence Rhode Island. Before long he was performing weekly throughout New England. In 2003 he moved back to New York and began performing whenever and wherever he could. During that time Brian developed his own voice and has been spending his nights telling his stories and providing his unique view on life, love and everything in between to audiences from London England, Toronto Canada, New York and now California. A featured player in the comedy division of CM acting studios. This Texas raised girl was scouted in Houston by Nikki Pederson Talent, and then sent off to LA. She decided to try her hand in stand up after her acting coach, Max Decker, convinced her to give it a good ol' try. 3 months later, she is a featured stand up comedian in multiple LA comedy clubs including, of course, Flapper's Comedy Club.
