Al Lubel became a lawyer to satisfy his mother and quit to become a comedian to satisfy his sadistic need to torture her. He became one of the last comics to appear with Johnny Carson and went on to do six more Tonight Show appearances with Jay Leno and made five appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman. Al has also played an attorney on the Blake Clark HBO Comedy Hour and has been featured in the Showtime and PBS special, A Standup Life. He has appeared on all seven episodes of the ESPN series, Bill Walton's Long Strange Trip.

We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all comedians and guests to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny: *PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional: *Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive *We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. Comics must be passed by the booking department in order to receive the sign-up links. There are no walk-up performers allowed. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Some have described Doyle Brand’s intense style as like a “dog chasing its own tail.” Doyle performs standup comedy all around Los Angeles at Flappers, The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, The Ice House and many other venues. Film and theater actor credits include roles as a Candor witness (Divergent), a sly acting teacher (Acting Mad), a zany artist (The Dreamer Examines His Pillow), a drug addict (Hatful of Rain), a bisexual father (The Crosses), a snobby college professor (Sunday at Home), a leading man (Always Us), and a prima donna soldier (PVT. Wars). Doyle is a graduate of The Jean Shelton Acting Lab (now Shelton Studios) in San Francisco and The Ruskin School of Acting in Los Angeles. Jennifer Rebecka Holman is an actor, stand-up comedian and sketch comedy writer.She has participated in intensive studies at Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre and Second City Chicago. She has traveled with the Treehouse Troupe, performing in Children's theatre as well as conducting Children’s theatre workshops for grades k-12. Jennifer has performed on stage in many shows including the title role from Beauty and the Beast, Alice from You Can’t Take it With You and Lavinia from Titus Andronicus to name a few. She is currently a member of the Around the Bend Players, a professional Improv Comedy Troupe. Some of her commercial she has been featured in include SafeAuto, dotTV, Penn National Gaming, Speedway, LenCrafters and Ro-tel. Jennifer played Mary Stevens in Out of Ashes, an HBO pilot. Raised in rural Wisconsin and educated at conservative Christian schools, Rachel Mac is now a writer and comedian based in LA. She still identifies as a Christian, although her mother would disagree. Rachel performs comedy all over California and has featured for Thomas Dale, Jerry Rocha, and Katsy Chappell.
