Paul Laier is a writer, director, editor and stand-up comedian currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Miami, Florida and studied film at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He moved to the City of Angels in 2011 to pursue his dream of directing films and performing. Through his diligence, Paul has crafted two peculiar, absurd, and altogether heart-warming shorts entitled “Birds & Bees” and “Kidd Gorgeous.”

I was born in L.A. to an Arab father and Brazilian mother. This figures prominently into my act. I grew up in South L.A. (a different part of L.A.) and I worked in and around the entrainment business since the 80s. I worked in the record business, played in several bands, licensed music to TV, had some short stories published and just finished a novel and a book of essays that I’m currently shopping. Did some commentary for Drew on Call on HLN. After some time away, I started performing again in December of 2013 and look forward to more shows and having a real good time.

I am a blonde male person. I just got out of the US Navy (6 years). I am married. I try to blame anyone or anything for my problems. Comedian Sandy Yaras

Sandy Yaras performed for twenty years in front of middle school students. Some people call that teaching, but Sandy saw it as doing a show. "You have to keep them entertained." Says the 75 year old retired teacher. He looks at stand-up as lecturing without a text book or final exam.
