Bobbie has appeared on ABC, TNN, The Style Network, WeTV and Entertainers with Byron Allen. Bobbie was called one of the �best comics in America� by the New York Post. She has performed at The Improv, The Ice House, The Comedy Store, Jon Lovitz Club, Flappers and clubs across the country, including Zanies, The Punchline, Nick�s Comedy Stop, The Laughing Skull and The Riviera in Las Vegas, and has been heard on Sirius XM Comedy Radio.
Bobbie has performed at colleges (including UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, UGA, Cal Tech, GA Tech and more) and corporate events (such as NASA, IBM, City of Hope, Congressional fundraisers and more). Bobbie owns Tao Comedy Studio in Los Angeles and published The Tao of Comedy: Embrace the Pause in 2013, recommended by Maria Bamford and Wendy Liebman. Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant invite all female comedians to submit for an all-female comedy contest which takes place at our Burbank club. Preliminary rounds will be held at Flappers Burbank in the Yoo Hoo Room on Friday, April 8th & 9th at 7:30pm & 9:30pm both nights. Audience votes for favorite 3 comedians, top three comedians from each preliminary round will perform in the final round on Sunday, April 17th at 7pm in the Main Room at Flappers Burbank. Management decides in the case of a tie. Audience votes "3" points for your favorite comedian, "2" points for your second favorite, "1" point for your third favorite.
Then come back on April 17th for the Final Round featuring the best performers from the preliminary rounds. Again, the audience will choose the top 3 winners and this time, there will be a separate Judge's Pick as well. Judges for past Flappers Contests have been Claudia Cagan (booker for Arsenio, E!), Randi Siegel (Talent Manager), Michael Curran (Casting Agent at Warner Bros), Michael Cox (Booker for Tonight Show), Marc Scroggs (Agent, DSA), and more! All shows will feature special guest headliners as seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and MTV who will perform as the votes are being tallied.

Feature Carol Leifer

David Letterman discovered her performing in a comedy club in the 1980s and she has since been a guest on Late Night with David Letterman over twenty-five times as well as numerous other shows and venues. She has written many television scripts including for The Larry Sanders Show, Saturday Night Live, and most notably, Seinfeld. Leifer's "inner monologue" observational style is often autobiographical encompassing subjects about her Jewish ancestry and upbringing, coming out, same-sex marriage, relationships (having been married previously to a man and now partnered with a woman) and parenting.

Meera is a Kenyan born writer and comedian. Instead of jumping out of an airplane for her birthday 7 years ago, Meera tried stand-up and has been performing ever since. She talks about her family, politics, her super competitive yoga classes and whatever else serves up. She's performed or hosted at the Burbank Comedy Festival, Comedy Store, Ice House, Comic Cure, Fundraisers and at Office Parties.

Kristal Adams is a standup comedian and podcaster living in Los Angeles. Comedian Robin Tran

Robin Tran is a comedian based out of Orange County. She has performed at the Brea Improv, the Irvine Improv, and countless sober living homes, hostile bars, and coffee shops. She is the winner of the 2004 Bolsa Grande Talent Show, the June 2012 Westside Bar & Grill Comedy Competition, and has lost every other contest.

Danielle Lipp was born and raised in Hawaii and is proud to be 1/32nd Hawaiian. She originally moved to Los Angeles to become an actress and attended "New York Film Academy" Upon realizing that she couldn't act, she auditioned for the prestigious improvisational "Groundlings" school. Surprisingly she made it to level 3, but only to discover that improv may not be her “thing.” One thing that she does know is she loves to tell stories.

Dawn Grabowski is an award-winning actress, motivational speaker, writer, and comedian who has written, produced, performed and presented “Always Going Up” (her one-woman autobiographical play) in the Los Angeles area. She was the proud recipient of the Christopher Reeve Acting Scholarship Competition, & the proud recipient of The Norman G. Brooks Comedy Competition. She went on to create a 35 mm Short entitled “Shattering Images”, and a full-length Feature Film entitled “Dangerous Perceptions” in which she starred, wrote, produced. She has performed at Flappers, The Formosa Cafe,and The Laugh Factory,among others. Ms. Grabowski has a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.S. in Paralegal Studies. Ms. Grabowski has taken her love for acting and extended it into other areas of the business actor, comic, writer, and producer. Her goals are to make you laugh, entertain, & work with you soon!

She has been voted one of the "Best of the Fest in the Burbank Comedy Festival Festival, and was voted "Judge's Favorite" in So. Bay's Got Talent. She has been featured on webseries Loosely Exactly Nicole and Tricycles, and will be seen in Lifetime movies "Picture Perfect Life", "Fireman's Deception", and "My Escort Best Friend." A popular headliner, Cindy's also a sought after actress (musical theatre, videos, voice-over) and improv teacher. Her motto is, "Well... you can't do porn forever!" Lara Ibrahim (Mrs. Beethoven) is a standup comedian and actress who started her career as a musician for Disney. She loves incorporating music into comedy and performs all over Los Angeles including The Comedy Chateau, The Comedy Store, The Westside Comedy Theatre, and Flappers. She has also delved into the world of music video and stars in the Devil joins Tinder and B plus musician comedy videos. In her spare time, she’s a single mother of a 5 year old who just won the Stevenson Elementary Talent Show! (Actually, it wasn’t judged but there’s no doubt he would have won.)

Comedian Atsuko Kohata

Atsuko Kohata is a TV and Radio host from Tokyo. She used to interview the Hollywood celebrities when they came to Japan. Her interview style was quite unique. For instance, her very first Arnold Schwarzenegger interview was done on his lap. Her Tom Cruise interview was done as he wrestled with her. Antonio Banderas nearly broke his back teaching her how to tango. And Will Smith screamed and ran away in his second interview with Atsuko. Since she had so much fun, she came to Los Angeles and decided to live here. She is new to the stand up scene, so she's hoping that people will be kind to her. Hopefully.
