Ben Sawyer grew up in North Carolina, and was happy there until he started travelling. In the last decade, Ben has lived in the South, the Midwest, Southern California, and Russia. Along the way he built a log cabin, renovated a couple of houses, earned a PhD in history, and co-created a human boy named Solomon. All of this living has given Ben some spectacular material for his performances. Ben’s foray into comedy began in 2012, when he relocated from Moscow to Los Angeles and decided to take a swing at stand up. Since moving to Nashville in 2013, Ben has become one of the most active members of a thriving comedy community, and has performed at respected clubs throughout the southeast, including Zanies and Comedy Zone. He is also the creator, head writer, and host of the comedy game show Perfect Timing, which is performed monthly at Zanies Nashville.
