Born and raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Jose Maestas moved to LA for a life in stand up comedy.Â
Having written and performed comedy since he was 18, Jose hit the ground running in LA and has performed at many well-known clubs with an energetic brand of physical comedy, impressions, and characters. Growing up Chicano shaped his sense of humor, love of family, and his perspective on America.
Jose has performed as a feature act for America’s Got Talent Alum Preacher Lawson, and has opened for Amir K. He can often be seen at the Hollywood Improv; performing in line-ups with Sebastian Maniscalco, David Spade, Neal Brennan and more.Â

Grew up in Eugene, OR (No, I don't sell weed. stop asking). I was always the awkward kid, constantly trying to make people smile yet always coming across as shy. Sometimes I tried to hard to make people like me and ended up sending the wrong message. That could very well have been me compensating for the fact that I am gay but I was way too terrified to tell anyone. I always knew I wanted to do something that made people laugh. After 21 years in Oregon, I moved to southern California. It was here that my sense of humor really started to blossom, no longer confined to jokes about male genitals. When I turned 27, I ended up opening a fortune cookie that had the fortune of " Now is the time to share your humor with everyone." I figured stand-up comedy would be a good outlet for that.

At a young age Reggie realized his gift as an entertainer and started pursuing his dream as a stand up comedian. Pound for pound, there are not too many other comedians that come with the energy passion and intensity he possesses. In 2001, he developed his act through the open mic circuit and began hosting at The Punchline comedy club regularly. In 2004, Reggie joined the United States Army; in the Spring of 2005 while still serving in the Army he received his first big break in the Comedy Carnival Cruise Contest at the Punchline comedy club in which he placed 3rd. Summer of 2006, Reggie appeared in Robert Townsends Partners in Crime the Next Generation. Reggie�s latest success is being among the chosen picked to showcase in a NACA regional conference! Reggie can also be seen performing at various venues throughout Southern California and soon at a campus near you!!
