Actor, writer, dancer, and comic, Affion Crockett, can next be seen as a guest star in NBC’s SUPERSTORE. In the past year, he has played supporting roles in the Universal feature film, UNDERCOVER BROTHER 2, and in the independent features, ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID and SAME DIFFERENCE. His other film credits include DANCE FLICK, in which he appeared alongside the Wayans Brothers, Martin Lawrence’s WELCOME HOME ROSCOE JENKINS, SOUL MEN starring Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac, and Kevin Hart’s THE WEDDING RINGER. In the realm of TV, his most recent guest star credits include roles on THE GUEST BOOK (TBS) and BLACKISH (ABC) in addition to Larry David’s CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (HBO) and Billy Crystal/ Josh Gad’s THE COMEDIANS (FX). He can next be seen recurring in the IFC sketch series, SHERMAN’S SHOWCASE.
Affion starred in and co-executive produced his own sketch comedy show for FOX called IN THE FLOW WITH AFFION CROCKETT, alongside Jamie Foxx. Also an experienced stand up and sketch comic, Affion’s debut began on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM. From there, he went on to perform as a regular on MTV’s hit series, WILD ’N OUT. His viral online sketch/ parody videos have garnered over 50 million views on YouTube, catching the attention of Russell Simmons, who then co-starred and created an original online comedy series with Affion titled HUSTLES WITH RUSSELLS, leading to multiple viral commercial campaigns in which Affion can be seen starring alongside the likes of Dr. Dre, Lebron James, and Jay-Z.
Affion currently tours nationwide in comedy clubs and his first hour-long stand-up special titled AFFION CROCKETT: MIRROR II SOCIETY is now streaming on LOL Network, Sirius XM, Xumo, and Pluto TV.
Affion is one of the most versatile entertainers around, as an accomplished actor, writer, dancer, rapper, comedian, music producer, and director " his YouTube videos have become an Internet sensation. Affion began his career as a dancer at age 10, winning breaking and popping contests with his older brother. Later on, he honed his impression skills by imitating anyone from his mother’s West Indian dialect or his schoolteacher’s southern drawl to Scarface’s choppy Cuban accent. Soon after, Affion combined his dance and impressionist talents to develop his stand up act. After graduating from Fayetteville State University, with a bachelor’s degree in business, Affion set his sights on the entertainment industry. Affion was introduced to the world on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam in 1996, demonstrating his crystal clear impressions and physical comedy, for which he was labeled the next Jim Carrey. He also shows his range with dramatic turns on CSI: NY, NYPD Blue and The District. He was also the break out star on MTV’s ‘Wild’n Out’ and ‘Short Circuitz’ with Nick Cannon. He has starred on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and ‘Cedric The Entertainer’s Show.’ Crockett also co-starred in the films, ‘Dance Flick’ with the Wayans Brothers, ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ with Martin Lawrence, and ‘Soul Men’ with Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac. Affion may be best known for his comedy niche with online sketch/parody videos garnering over 40 million views on YouTube. This caught the attention of Hip-Hop Mogul, Russell Simmons and resulted in the launch of an original online comedy series titled ‘Hustles With Russell’s’ starring the two. This also sparked a viral commercial campaign starring Dr. Dre, Lebron James, and Affion himself. Currently, Affion is starring in and producing his own sketch comedy show, “In the Flow With Affion Crockett” for FOX which is also executive produced by Jamie Foxx.
