The best way to describe Ro's stand up is this: Ro's New York on the inside and California on the outside. People bother her a lot. Ro isn't one to hold back on her opinion of the public, while sharing how life is different with her 6'7" giant husband all while trying to adjust to being a new mom. We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all participants to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny: *PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional: *Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive *We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. We’re doing our best to keep the mics as affordable as possible, given the current challenging economic climate. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Dave Rankin is an exciting comic hailing from Boston. He brought his unique brand of deeply personal and also highly energetic comedy to Los Angeles and has since performed at The Comedy Store, Flappers Comedy Club, The John Lovitz Club, and The Laugh Factory. He is always on the alt circuit in Los Angeles performing at some of the hottest shows including The Josh and Josh Show at Bar Lubitsch, CRAVE in Culver City, and the Nerdist Theater. He was voted a semi-finalist in the Best Comedian in SoCal competition at the John Lovitz Club.
