Ron Swallow is a hilarious comedian who is a nerd. He tells funny and witty jokes from the perspective of a dork, while making all sorts of people relate to his point of view. He's been on episodes of Madtv, Ugly Betty, is a regular at the Hollywood Improv, and has performed at comic book conventions around the country including the San Diego ComicCon and Stan Lee's Comikaze.

Comedians: comedians must come to the auditions and be passed to perform. Upon being passed, comedians will receive the link to sign up. Comedians must arrive by start of mic in order to participate. We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all comedians and guests to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny: *PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional: *Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive *We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. Comics must be passed by the booking department in order to receive the sign-up links. There are no walk-up performers allowed. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

After surviving a brain tumor and failing out of college, Matty Goldberg began his comedy career in 2001. Before making his move from New York to Los Angeles, Matty appeared on BET and starred in an online advertising campaign for Converse called “Out of Your League Guy;” where he inspired kids to go for their dreams, while simultaneously creeping out girls all over the globe.
When Matty is not acting, he is performing stand-up everywhere and anywhere people want to laugh. His upcoming memoir is highly anticipated and starts with the diagnosis of his tumor to the death of his best friend in life and in comedy a little over a year ago. Joy Eileen is married with three boys (not to three boys.) She currently has three books published, and she also ghost writes when she has spare time. When she's not writing, yelling, folding laundry, or doing comedy, she rubs naked people for money (some people call that massage therapy.) Joy has been doing comedy on her patients for nine years, and has recently started bringing her brand of mom humor to the stage. She has performed at The Hollywood Improv, and other local venues.
