Panelist Neal Marshall
Throughout my career I have always looked forward to producing concert videos of stand up comedy shows. That a skilled comic can make audience laugh consistently for a half hour is amazing...for an hour or longer is off the charts. I have been fortunate to have had success in movies (THE FLAMINGO KID - original screenplay), Network TV (CAROL BURNETT - EP/writer), and big event broadcasts... Through it all the stand up comedy shows have meant a lot to me... In the 80's and 90's shows for HBO starred Robert Klein, Rick Ducommun, Paul Rodriguez, and Robert Schimmel. Special events featured Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, George Carlin, Whoopi Goldberg... In the new millennium the focus has been heavily stand up... THE 40TH ANNNIVERSARY OF THE IMPROV ON NBC is certainly a highlight... In the last 8 years over 80 shows for Showtime, Comedy Central, and BET. Over 100 artists.
