The shorter half of the married writing, producing, managing, performing team of Barb and Steve North, the Barb began her career touring comedy and folk clubs with Steve and appeared on over 30 network and syndicated television shows in the late 70's and early 80's- before moving behind the camera. Writing and producing, the North's were Head Writers of the late 80's rendition of The Gong Show and wrote or produced for many others including Candid Camera, Make Me Laugh, Bachelor Party and Switcheroo. In 1992, the North pair created the successful home base for standup comedians at the L.A. Connection in Los Angeles, which, now in it's twelfth year, continues to offer private coaching, workshops and Industry Showcases for beginning and experienced comedians to have support, feedback and a safe place to grow.

Jimmy is a sixty-something returning comedian after taking a 25-year self-imposed hiatus. "I came back to standup," Jim explains, "After realizing what a joke my life has been." He claims that, even at his age, he still turns women's heads. "Just the other night," Jim explained, "I was in a bar and when I walked past some really hot women, I overheard their admiring comments. 'What and ass!' 'What a waist!' they said. In a rare moment of honesty, he does admit that, while unlikely, it's possible one of the women might have said "waste," and not "waist."

Comedian Perry Krauss

Perry Krauss has been doing stand-up for about two years, beginning at age 72. Perry has developed his comedy skills under the guidance of comedy coach, Steve North. He has performed regularly at the L.A. Connection in Burbank. Though performing stand-up is fairly new to Perry, the entertainment business is not. Perry worked for over thirty years in television as a writer, producer, and director, primarily in sit-coms, such as “Barney Miller”, “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and “On The Rocks”, to name a few. Perry’s left-of-center views of the world are quite unique, and he loves to share them with his audiences.

Comedian Joel Brill

As a card carrying member of AARP, Joel Brill has pretty much seen it all, done it all and can’t remember most of it. He shares the bits and pieces that he can remember about life, with side splitting results. His unique blend of comedy comes out as he discusses the challenges of being a senior citizen, marriage, business, sex, kids and a host of other topics. Joel started telling jokes in 3rd grade and hasn't stopped since. While he performs in clubs around The USA, he gets most of his laughs in the bedroom.

Amanda started doing comedy when she was 17 and before she finished college in Pittsburgh she was showcasing at clubs and colleges across the midwest, including many clubs that don't exist anymore. She studied improv at the Second City Conservatory in Chicago, then an epiphany in 2015 reminded her she was a comedian. After a couple of years in the Chicago scene, she's now based in LA and has showcased at Zanies and The Laugh Factory in Chicago, Flappers in Burbank, the Improv, the Comedy Store, and other venues.

Comedian Gabe Abelson

Originally from New York City, Gabe graduated Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where he studied with acting guru Lee Strasberg. After booking a number of stage roles and television commercials after college, he decided to pursue his real love… stand-up comedy.
A headlining comedian, Gabe toured the world before being offered the role of Head Monologue Writer for Late Show with David Letterman.
Within five years, he received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program and three Writers Guild nominations. Gabe is a member of the Writers Guild and SAG/AFTRA.
After Letterman, Gabe relocated to LA to write for Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn. In addition, he was Writer/Producer for The Tom Green Show, and Writer/Producer on the pilot of Lopez Tonight
