While relatively new to Stand-Up, Scott is no stranger to the stage. Growing up he was involved in just about every aspect of performance art. From classical violin to opera, ballet to folk dance, Shakespeare to Improv he has tried it all. After finding a passion for comedy writing, it was inevitable that he would wind up at an open mic to try stand-up. Since that first night on a comedy club stage, he knew he had found his calling. Saavan Patel is a first generation Indian American that lived in a motel in the heart of South Central Los Angeles. After disappointing his parents by failing to fulfill his stereotypical destiny and become a doctor, he decided to double down and started comedy at the ripe age of 23. Growing up in a traditional Indian household, his sense of humor was always under appreciated. His stand up talks about what it was like trying to fit in at a predominantly black high school, having strict parents which allowed him to master the art of lying, and the struggle of being an Indian while feeling like an American.
