Bill Word began producing California's Funniest Female Contest (CFFC) in 2003. What began as a vehicle to promote and nurture women in comedy has grown to an international standup comedy competition which has had females traveling as far Ireland and Australia to compete. The list of comedic competitors have television credits which include NBC´s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, "Nick at Nite's Funniest Mom in America" and Oprah!
Comedian Lauri Roggenkamp OC'S FUNNIEST PERSON, MONTREAL COMEDY FESTIVAL,
Lauri Roggenkamp is a stand-up comedian and improviser. She grew up in Anaheim, California. Lauri started comedy when she was 18 and is the first female to win the Orange County's "Funniest Person" award. She was also in the "Unrepped New Faces" category and "Best of the Fest" at the 2011 Montreal "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival. Lauri lives with her parents because she wants to, not because she has to. Among her interests, she cites Chipotle, writing, Chipotle, performing and Chipotle. BOOK

Alison Tafel is a native from Colorado and has just moved to the LA area after a two year stint in Chicago, where she studied at the famous Second City Conservatory as well as the ImprovOlympic Writing Program. She was a member of the award winning sketch troupe, Honorary Degree, and with them participated in the Chicago Sketchfest, New York SketchFest, and Fracas Improv Festival. Solange Castro is a stand up comic, playwright, actor and blogger. She graduated from Yale University and majored in English Literature. She has performed at The Comedy Store, Improv, Flappers, and opened for Maria Bamford. She produces the show "Standup Schtick," in Venice, CA featuring comics from Conan, Letterman and Ferguson. Jahnavi Goldstein is a comic. She has a weird name, weird upbringing (a hippie/Hare Krishna/Jew clusterf*ck), and an even weirder sense of humor. She likes to describe herself as "an endearing and quirky laughter adventure" - but she suffers from multiple delusions. Touring all over she's found that black people like her better than British people, but that may be because of her ass rather than her jokes. Jahnavi was a guest performer at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has performed in Los Angeles, New York and London venues such as The Improv, Gotham, The Comedy Cafe, and your mom's house. Bill Word has been doing standup comedy since 1991. Bill has been featured on "ABC´s America´s Funniest People." You have seen him on NBC, TLC and PBS. Bill starred in a movie "Oceanfront Property". Bill was a panelist in the 2007 Las Vegas Comedy Festival. He has been featured on National Lampoon Comedy Radio numerous times.
Bill Word has for over 20 years, produced and performed live comedy. He created California´s Funniest Female Contest, Orange County´s Funniest Person Contest, Ultimate Laff-Down and a comedy workshop series that has been attended by hundreds of aspiring comedians.
