Calling all college students (future unemployed waiters)! If you think you have what it takes to be funny, Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant invites you to participate in our 2nd Annual Flappers College Comedy Contest, sponsored by Flappers Comedy University (where learning is a joke) which takes place at both our Burbank & Claremont clubs during the month of March. Audiences and guest celebrity judges will vote on who will win $500 in cash and prizes (.001% of your student loan payments), and all shows will feature special guest headliners as seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and MTV. Jake grew up a middle class technically Jewish boy in Cape Cod Massachusetts. When he graduated high school he moved out to California to attend the Professional Golfers Career College.. (which is a real thing) there he realized that working in an environment where pleated pants where considered cool was not as great as he once imagined. Jake then attended "real" college in Orange County where he started performing stand up comedy every night. He now lives in Los Angeles and is quickly becoming a very funny rising star in the city. My name is Richie Rosales, I am 19, and I have been performing stand- up since I was 16 years old. I have one sister. We were raised by our single mom and I credit a lot of my best memories to the times we struggled together. I don´t see my dad too often, but I still have a relationship with him. After high school, I attended SMC College, in an effort to transfer to UCLA. However, I have recently decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time and discontinue my plans of transferring. Ilia was inspired by Seth Rogen to start doing stand-up comedy at the young age of 15.
