Dan Telfer has been writing and performing comedy for over 20 years. As a stand-up comic he has toured as an opener for Maria Bamford, Brian Posehn and Patton Oswalt. He was selected to perform at the Chicago Just For Laughs Festival's Best of the Fest show, the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival's Talk of the Fest show, and the coveted New Faces of Comedy showcase of both festivals. In addition to being a staff writer and editor for The Onion and MAD Magazine, his writing has appeared in Paste Magazine, The A.V. Club, and the official book based on the TV show Mad Men: The Illustrated World. He is perhaps known best for his stand-up chunk "The Best Dinosaur," which became a runaway viral video hit and earned him a massive internet following.

You MUST ARRIVE BY the start of the mic and stay the entire time.
We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all participants to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny:
*PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional:
*Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive
*We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. We’re doing our best to keep the mics as affordable as possible, given the current challenging economic climate. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Rick Mitchell has appeared at many clubs such as The SF Punchline and The Hollywood Improv, and regularly performs at Flappers. He has written and produced for TMZ, where he also appeared on camera. His stand-up was recently featured on Laughs on Fox. Rick is currently a writer for The Ellen Degeneres Show.

SEX ADDICTS-WRITER, CABBIE-WRITER, THE SHORT CORRIDOR-WRITER, NY STATE OF MIND-WRITER,
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, John relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue his dream of becoming a Hollywood screenwriter. On a dare from a friend, he attended an open mic, and instantly fell in love with stand-up. These days, he has turned to writing and performing comedy full time, and has since completed two full length screenplays entitled "Sex Addicts" and "Cabbie." A self-proclaimed workaholic; when he is not writing or performing, he is can be found taking cat naps, dreaming up his next project.

Tim Snook is a stand up and improvisational comic who originally hails from Redding, California. He was bitten by the comedy bug after taking an improv class in college. After taking an ointment for that bug bite, he pursued more improv with UCB Los Angeles and has performed with his team Blood Diamond Phillips since 2009. That same year, the stand up started and there was no looking back. In his free time, Tim enjoys paying off student loan debt at a bare-minimum pace and, when possible, being laughed at for having a last name similar to that of a talentless MTV reality star.
