Brian grew up in Prince George's county Maryland, riding the bus to school where comedy was the ultimate factor in deciding social status. Mostly, he just tried to avoid being embarrassed by the popular kids and the foul-mouthed big-banged girls that followed them. But he was learning by osmosis, picking up on what was funny and what was just swagger, which jokes made everybody laugh, and which ones just unified the cool clique in their superiority. He couples this experience with the pop culture expertise of a TMZ veteran to write material that's incisive, ridiculous, and surprising. He's got the seat at the back of the bus now, everyone's laughing, and if you get ripped, well... you deserved it. He graduated from USC, wrote for the CBS Diversity, appeared for years on TMZ, and now travels the country performing.
$5 for 5 min + 1 item min Full restaurant and bar service available. Comedians may purchase a video copy of their sets. You MUST ARRIVE BY the start of the mic and stay the entire time.
We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all participants to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny: *PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional: *Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive *We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. We’re doing our best to keep the mics as affordable as possible, given the current challenging economic climate. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Jennifer LaMar is originally from a tiny town called Three Rivers, moving to the Southern California area 3 years ago. She is currently a high school art teacher and working artist, doing stained glass and oil painting. Jenn has been doing comedy for about a year now, but also loves reading in her spare time, sleeping, and gardening. BOOK

Justin Muller has been a high school teacher for six years, and a public speaker for five years. Currently, he teaches high school history in Downey, CA. He also holds motivational assemblies for high schools in the area. His assembly presentations have hit topics such as “What it means to be a student athlete,” “The value of teamwork,” and “Using your high school ‘status’ to mentor incoming freshmen.”
Justin started exploring stand-up comedy over the last couple of years, and he’s preformed several times in comedy clubs, business events, and other small functions. His witty delivery will keep you laughing throughout, and he’s definitely not afraid to put himself out there. BOOK
