Jenny has been on the Boston scene performing all over in clubs, colleges, casinos, and camp fires (IN the actual fire!). She was featured in the Funny Females Showcase at the Boston Comedy Festival , hosted for the Women in Comedy Festival and recently performed at the Cape Fear Comedy Festival. She also was featured on local television shows such as Boston News Net and the Steve Katsos Show and also in GO magazine (Airtran inflight magazine). Her short films have been in festivals such as the Nor'Easter Film and Video Festival and was awarded "Official Selection" for Other Side Shorts Film Festival. She took 1st place in the Catch a New Rising Star Competition and was honored to be April 2010's Comic in Residence at the famed Comedy Studio in Cambridge, MA.
Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant invites you to enjoy our week-long The Wittiest Woman Wins Comedy Contest which takes place at our Burbank club during the month of November. Preliminary rounds will be held at Flappers Burbank in the Yoo Hoo Room Tuesday, November 8th through Saturday, November 12th at 7:30pm & 9:30pm each night. Audience votes for their favorite 3 comedians and combined votes will determine one winner. Each comedian who wins a preliminary round (10 shows, 10 winners) will perform in the final round on Sunday, November 28th at 8pm in the Main Room at Flappers Burbank. Management decides in the case of a tie. One comedian per each of the preliminary rounds wins $100.
In the Final Round in the Main Room on November 28th, the Audience Vote winner will receive $500. Audience votes for their favorite 3 comedians and combined votes will determine one winner. There will also be a separate Judge's Pick as well. Judges for past Flappers contests have been Claudia Cagan (booker for Arsenio, E!), Randi Siegel (Talent Manager), Michael Curran (Casting Agent at Warner Bros), Michael Cox (Booker for Tonight Show), Marc Scroggs (Agent, DSA), and more! Prize for Judge's Pick is a paid guest spot at the club. All shows will feature special guest headliners as seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and MTV who will perform as the votes are being tallied.

Diversity in Comedy Festival presented by Second City, the Laugh Riot Grrrl Comedy Festival, the Tucson Comedy Arts Festival, the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, the Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival in San Francisco and the Lady Laughs Comedy Festival in Wisconsin. She has shared the stage with such comedy greats as Jackie Kashian, Tracey Ashley, Laurie Kilmartin, Janelle James, Zach Galifianakis, Jackie Fabulous, Jeff Garlin, Whitney Cummings, Brian Kiley and Jay Leno. She has also featured for Maria Bamford. In the wake of COVID-19, she has been seen in online shows on so many platforms. Comedian Jordan Kurtzman BIG FIRE COMEDY FESTIVAL , LAUGH RIOT GRRRL FEST,
Jordan Sara Kurtzman was raised in Brookline, MA on a steady diet of 1940’s screwball comedies and Mel Brooks. She attended Boston University, and moved to Los Angeles the day after graduating college. She studied Meisner technique at the Elizabeth Mestnik School of acting, where she learned that it’s possible to ugly-cry on stage, and improv and sketch comedy writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade, where she learned how to channel her obsessive, left-brain love of patterns and logic into comedy. She is currently a writer and performer on the sketch and improv team the Pin-Up Squirrels, who’ve performed at the Comedy Central Stage, the IoWest Mainstage, and other venues, and she performs stand-up comedy all by her lonesome at various comedy spots around LA, from comedy clubs to house party shows.
