In response to the President-elect’s repeated threats on human rights, comedians in over 20 cities are coordinating shows to raise money for the ACLU on Inauguration Day Weekend for the WHAT A JOKE Comedy Fest, organized by New York comedians Jenn Welch (The New York Comedy Festival) and Emily Winter (Writer for TV Land, Fusion TV). From Thursday, January 19th, through Saturday, January 21st, benefit comedy shows under the name WHAT A JOKE will take place simultaneously around the country and in the UK. Because seriously, what a joke. A portion of the proceeds from the shows this week will go to the ACLU.

You may recognize Grant from his appearances on BuzzFeed, on 90210 as one of the much less attractive people, or as the “stand-up comet” in an educational film about space called “Space School Musical.” That’s actually real, by the way. Comedian Dave Reinitz THIS AMERICAN LIFE, THE JIMMY DORE SHOW , COMEDY SPECIAL "SHARING"
Born in Detroit and raised in upstate New York, Dave Reinitz grew up working in the restaurant business and spent years traveling the country in an old motorhome before finally settling in Los Angeles. And after a couple of dear friends signed him up for a comedy class, he was forever changed. Since then, Dave has performed in 6 countries and throughout the US alongside many of the biggest names in comedy. He has released 4 comedy specials: “Side Effects May Include” (2001), “Bowling for Common Sense” (2006), “Live in Bangladesh” (2014), and most recently, “Sharing” (2018). Malik has performed on many stages, but it was on BET’s Comic View where he got his break six months after beginning on his journey. He went on to appear on the show for five consecutive seasons from 1999-2004. Malik has appeared on HBO Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central Live at Gotham, NBC Last Comic Standing season 4, ABC Comics Unleashed and HBO P. Diddy Presents Bad Boyz of Comedy. In 2009 Malik played “Another Guy” in Cedric “The Entertainer’s” pilot on ABC titled “The Law”.
