The Animal Protectorates (TAPS) is an Animal Rescue Organization that runs a Pet Adoption Center Operation Adopt right here in Burbank - 3318 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505, open to the public Thursdays 1-6pm, Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays 11-6pm. Our mission is to fill a void for people who want to adopt their pets but find the shelter environment too upsetting. To help free up space in crowded local shelters, we bring orphaned dogs and cats into a kinder and structured setting where we get to know them, get them individual medical attention and grooming, and utilize professional photography and enthusiastic volunteers and staff to help find them homes where they have a chance to excel given their age, size and personalities. We make a lifetime commitment to these animals that once our signature Purple Collar goes around their neck, they will never see the inside of a shelter again. If at first we don't succeed in making the right fit in an adoption, they have a "purple collar promise" that we will welcome them back and work toward finding them the right forever home.
