Rell Battle studied theater at the University of Maryland. Shortly after he moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy, and was quickly chosen to perform as a "New Face" for the Jamie Foxx "Laffapalooza" festival. Since, he has performed at comedy club venues throughout the country and overseas. He was chosen for FOX's Diversity showcase, and has appeared on Adult Swim's "Eric Andre Show," and on Hulu's "Coming to the Stage," and Adam Devine's "Houseparty" on Comedy Central. Rell is also the creator of "Roast Battle," an energetic live show that was selected as the cover story for LA Weekly's Fall 2014 issue, and later LA Weekly's "Top 10 Acts To Watch." It was adapted for TV and aired on Comedy Central, of which Rell Executive Produced. He is currently reprising his role on the upcoming “Superior Donuts” for CBS, and recently wrote on Comedy Central's “Hood Adjacent.”
