Born and raised in L.A., actress-slash-comedian Nyema Tannenbaum began standup 3 years ago. Inspired by everyone from Howard Stern and Paul Mooney to Paula Bel and Roseanne Barr, Nyema’s standup has brought about comparisons to younger versions of Rita Rudner and Ellen DeGeneres. Nyema is one of 6 women chosen to perform in the 39th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition. You can find Nyema hosting a weekly open mic in Los Angeles. She also appears on The David A. Arnold Radio Show, which airs Wednesdays.
