Amy R. Balfour Dodd is a humor writer and comedian who grew up on the dangerous streets of Northridge, CA. She is a winner of the Paul N. and Eleanor T. Lazarus Scholarship for Screenwriting from UCSB, after which, she went on to do almost no screenwriting at all. She has a Masters Degree in Professional Writing from USC, but she only minored in B.S. Amy's thesis was a humor book about embracing your inner slob, which makes one wonder how she ever earned her degree in the first place. Amy has been writing professionally for over eight years and has studied improvisation at the Groundlings School in Los Angeles. Amy is new to standup, but she hopes to make it a regular habit.
