You know you're funny on stage... but how did comics like Jerry Seinfeld and Ray Romano take their stand-up persona and create a TV personality that a sitcom can be built around? How do you take your unique voice and apply it to someone else's words in an audition or a cold read and make sure that you book the gig?
In this course students will work on prepping and performing scripted material for either an audition or a performance. The course will focus on taking the "character" the comic has developed in his act and using that as the leaping off point to breathe life into characters for film and television scripts. Emphasis will be placed on breaking down a scene, making playable choices, and cultivating a personal point of view that comes across in front of the camera.
