Laurie Kilmartin is a comedian and staff writer for CONAN. She has performed
standup on CONAN, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central and Showtime. Her
Seeso special 45 Jokes About My Dead Dad made Vulture's list of Top Ten
Comedy Specials of 2016. Laurie has also written two books, the New York
Times bestseller Shitty Mom and Dead People Suck. She and fellow comic
Jackie Kashian host a popular podcast about standup comedy called The Jackie
and Laurie Show.

You MUST ARRIVE BY the start of the mic and stay the entire time.
We value the importance of creating a positive and supportive comedy community, and in order to continue to provide opportunities, we are asking all participants to observe the following code of ethics:
Funny:
*PG to PG-13 comedy at the open mics - because the open mics (especially the bar shows) are in shared areas where guests from the mainroom shows (sometimes all ages) are located, we are asking comedians to air on the side of working clean. If you are not sure whether or not your joke is clean or dirty, it’s dirty. It doesn’t need to be squeaky clean, but shouldn’t be any crazier than something you’d see on a Tonight Show set.
*Please do not scream or yell at the top of your lungs. You have a microphone to amplify you. Our rooms are soundproof, but there are other shows already in progress.
Professional:
*Please do not bring in ANY outside food or beverage. It’s not allowed any place in the building. Order something to eat or drink with us!
*Please do not bring in any backpacks or anything larger than a purse. This is for security and safety reasons. Keep it in the trunk of your car, please!
*Please treat the staff, comedians, and guests with courtesy and respect.
*Please respect the space. Do not walk through a room to get to another room. Please go and stay in the area where you are performing. If there is a buffet set up for a party or large event, chances are, it’s not your party. Please don’t eat off of any buffets or any special set ups.
Supportive
*We are asking all comedians to pay a $5 ticket to the open mic and to observe a one-item minimum per person. We’re doing our best to keep the mics as affordable as possible, given the current challenging economic climate. The Auditions will continue to remain free and open to all.

Upon discovering stand-up comedy, Lara proved to be a natural, winning Milwaukee�s Funniest Comic in 2012. Her signature silliness combined with her dry, sarcastic delivery have made her a fan favorite nationwide. In 2015, Lara made her national TV debut on Fox's "Laughs". She has been featured at comedy clubs around the country, is a regular at The Laugh Factory, Zanies, and The Comedy Bar in Chicago, and has performed sketch comedy with world famous The Second City. She has participated in the Oddball Comedy Festival, SketchFest, The Milwaukee Comedy Festival, the Memphis Comedy Festival, The Chicago Women's Funny Festival, the Laughing Devil Comedy Festival and Devil Cup Comedy Festivals in New York City, and MidwestFest. Hal Rudnick is super pumped to make you laugh. He's been all over TV including on Community and Reno 911! Hal is the Host of the very popular Screen Junkies Show on YouTube. He is also a teacher and regular performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles. In 2012, his sketch comedy group, The Midnight Show, toured the country with Drew Carey.
