Edgar “Tangana” Rivera is a Puerto Rican"
American comedian who brings his unique
upbringing and bilingual storytelling style to
his stand-up comedy. Inspired by a local
sketch troupe, Rivera first took the stage at
Stand Up NY. He earned laughs with stories
about his father, who objected to his interest
in comedy and wanted Edgar to instead follow
in his footsteps as a “super” of an apartment
building in the Bronx. Ever since, Rivera has
never strayed far from the stage, whether
performing at comedy clubs and colleges
across the country or serving as a charismatic
host at private, community, and charity
events. He’s also appeared on Univision,
Telemundo, and MundoFox among other
outlets. You could also catch him headlining
on a Carnival Cruise Line.
