UNCLE CLYDE'S COMEDY CONTEST - is LA's Longest Running Comedy Contest, and you pick the winners. There are seven preliminary rounds. In each preliminary round, 10 comics performs a five-minute set. A special guest performer or group is invited to perform at Half Time and at Math Time (the end of the show while the votes are being tallied). The 1st place winner receives $101.00 Cash Prize, 2nd place receives a $50.00 gift card from Flappers Comedy Club or from another location, and 3rd place gets a Clyde's traditional Huge Side of French Fries. The top two finishers will be invited to perform in the Soup-Or-Bowl finals. Each Soup-Or-Bowl Audience Vote winner will receive $500.00 cash and the Judges Vote will receive a Professional Gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant. Second place wins a $50 gift card, and third place wins a huge side of fries. Top Three Soup or Bowl Winners will come back for semi final rounds and the end of the year and The top three performers from each playoff round will be invited to perform in The Clyde's Cup to be held once a year. OVER 360 Comedians and the Clyde's Cup is down to the top 10 of those. One Winner will get their name on a huge Trophy, along with a $2000 Cash Grand Prize ($1000 if a virtual show), a professional gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant.. Born in Detroit and raised in upstate New York, Dave Reinitz grew up working in the restaurant business and spent years traveling the country in an old motorhome before finally settling in Los Angeles. And after a couple of dear friends signed him up for a comedy class, he was forever changed.
Since then, Dave has performed in 6 countries and throughout the US alongside many of the biggest names in comedy. He has released 4 comedy specials: “Side Effects May Include” (2001), “Bowling for Common Sense” (2006), “Live in Bangladesh” (2014), and most recently, “Sharing” (2018). He has an eclectic set of credits including: “This American Life,” “Celebrity Near Death Experiences,” Hustler Magazine, and several appearances on “The Jimmy Dore Show.” Dave was also a founding member of the “Anti-War Comedy Tour,” and the “99% Funnies,” and produced and created the documentary, “The Women of Nostrand and Greene.”

The shorter half of the married writing, producing, managing, performing team of Barb and Steve North, the Barb began her career touring comedy and folk clubs with Steve and appeared on over 30 network and syndicated television shows in the late 70's and early 80's- before moving behind the camera. Writing and producing, the North's were Head Writers of the late 80's rendition of The Gong Show and wrote or produced for many others including Candid Camera, Make Me Laugh, Bachelor Party and Switcheroo. In 1992, the North pair created the successful home base for standup comedians at the L.A. Connection in Los Angeles, which, now in it's twelfth year, continues to offer private coaching, workshops and Industry Showcases for beginning and experienced comedians to have support, feedback and a safe place to grow.

Randi Siegel is a long time Talent Manager, representing a select roster of comedy talent, and is a consultant for contract notes, social media strategy, script notes and developing standup material from stage to screen.
She has served as the EVP of Talent & Development at National Lampoon, Head of Special Projects & Marketing Initiatives for Comic Relief, Head of Alternative Comedy at The Fred Silverman Company, and as the Director of Comedy Relations & Content at MySpace. Earlier in her career, she is credited with being the script supervisor for three comedy albums including: Adam Sandler’s “What the Hell Happened to Me?” (Warner), Sandler’s “What’s Your Name?” (Warner) and Pauly Shore’s “Pink Diggly Diggly” (Priority). Siegel was a Casting Producer on “Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian (E!),” and is in her 16th year as an Adjunct Professor for Boston University, teaching “Talent Representation, Contracts & Strategy.”
