Bruce Smith is the founding partner and president of Omnipop Talent Group, a management company that began as a personal appearance talent agency in N.Y. Since starting the L.A. office, Bruce has launched the careers of Maria Bamford, Oscar Nunez, Doug Jones, Andy Kindler, Doug Benson, Natasha Leggero, Christopher Titus, Kevin James, Jimmy Pardo, Erica Rhodes, Derek Waters, Scott Aukerman, and others.
Bruce has overseen high-profile Netflix comedy specials for Maria Bamford and Doug Benson. TV producer credits include Lady Dynamite, The High Court with Doug Benson, and Halfway Home. Digital media producing credits include Dr. Katz: The Audio Files (Audible), The Maria Bamford Show (superdeluxe), and Si Pipi Si! (Broadway Video).
The inspiration for Lady Dynamite’s dubious Bruce Ben-Bacharach character, Bruce is a photographer whose photos have been in Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, Playboy, Rolling Stone, the L.A. Times, the N.Y. Times, and his Instagram.
