They say what’s funny is also true. Comedian Yolanda Androzzo brings truth to the stage drawing on her experiences growing up a light-skinned black female in 1970’s Chicago. Highly personal anecdotes from days when her green eyes and light brown skin caused rejection, Yolanda’s show expresses her point of view while highlighting feelings that are universal for anyone who has ever felt out of place. Yolanda’s managed youth outreach programs for more than 15 years and teaches theatre, art and poetry to children living in vulnerable communities. She has appeared in several television, film and theatre productions and she is featured as a spoken word artist in the critically acclaimed album, "Hope is in Meâ€"A Musical Journey."
