Rick Mitchell began his career during the comedy boom of the 1980s as one of the few ventriloquist/comedians working the New York comedy circuit. And now, in Los Angeles, he's still one of the few ventriloquists. A veteran of a variety of venuesâ€"including colleges, comedy clubs, and cruise shipsâ€"as well as an oft-published writer, Mitchell has been critically acclaimed as both a performer and a dramatist. TV appearances include Comedy Tonight and PM Magazine. His latest book is Ventriloquist: Two Plays (2012).
