Austen Tayshus is a highly experienced and multi-award winning Australian entertainer.
He has been performing in Australia and around the world since 1980, in clubs, hotels, comedy rooms, universities, and arenas.
In 1983 he released his first single 'Australiana', which is still, in 2013, the biggest selling Australian single of all time.
He is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School(1978) and has directed, written and performed in many short films and feature films in Australia and the United States.
In 1998 he won Tropfest's best film and best actor for the short 'Intolerance', which he wrote.
He has released numerous recordings, mostly with social consciousness themes, he has appeared in many documentaries about the Holocaust, and continues touring all over the world.
