Rashel Mereness is a writer living in Los Angeles, California. Currently a staff writer on a monthly internet program, Late Night Cup o’ Joe,” Rashel also performs stand-up comedy and improv throughout Los Angeles. After completing the UCLA graduate certificate program in Television Writing, Rashel completed her first television pilot script, entitled “Boomtown,” which has won numerous awards in several film festivals. Prior to that, Rashel’s first short film, which she wrote, directed and performed in, “$40 Million,” was nominated for Best Comedy Short at the Action on Film Festival in 2012. When not writing and performing, Rashel works on the marketing and advertising for a bar she co-owns with two partners and tries to find time to get out of LA to go skiing. An accomplished long-distance runner, Rashel recently represented the City of Lomita in a sister-city Marathon-runner exchange in Osaka, Japan.
