After many years of playing comedic characters on stage, Paul moved from Massachusetts to become a professional comedian and actor. He was thrilled to discover that people from his home state are called "Mass-holes", probably because they are even worse drivers than people from California. He is a former real estate agent, accountant, and a veteran. He looks old on the outside, but still has the maturity of a 13-year old. His family back home misses him very little.
