Tim is originally from the East Coast. Most recently he lived in Connecticut, where he was an engineer for four years until he grew tired of the winter. Then in the fall of 2014 he quit his job, sold most of his stuff to buy camping supplies and then zig-zagged across the country before ending up in Southern California. He tried to become a forest firefighter, and was promptly rejected by every job he applied to. Eventually in the summer of 2015, he (somewhat reluctantly) became an engineer again in the South Bay area where he currently resides.
