Laurie Weaver was the second and last kid born to her family in a small beach community outside of Tacoma Washington. Her brother wanted his new baby brother named Timmy, after the boy in the 1950s TV hit Lassie. But Surprise! Laurie was the first girl born to her dad’s family in three generations. This began her love of defying expectations. Laurie was a typical 70s chick. She dug laughing with Gilda Radner and Carol Burnett while rocking long hair and tie-dye. But she also was a secret academic bookworm. Growing up in drizzling rain made Laurie flee to sunny California to build her life. After retiring from a nerdy corporate career, she again defied expectations by becoming a voice actor and combatting Boomer stereotypes with comedy. Follow Laurie on Instagram at Hey.Bloomer. She prefers bloomer to boomer as Laurie finds funny in the compost of senior life.
