A Louisiana native, Katie East has been performing comedy for 10 years. She returned to the state after a five-year stint doing improv and stand-up comedy in New York City. In 2014 she was hand-selected by Louis CK to open for him in New Orleans at a sold-out show of 700. While in NYC, East was trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and has been a featured performer there as well. She improvised with comic Patrice O�Neal in his Comedy Central television pilot. She has been featured in sketch videos retweeted by Justin Timberlake and Elizabeth Banks. East's comedic one-woman show about having cancer, Sick Girl, has been produced around the country. She has performed in the Memphis Comedy Festival, Hell Yes Fest and Boston Comedy Festival. East currently works as a freelance writer and lives in New Orleans where she hosts and produces a variety of shows.
