After a personal epiphany helped Jim acknowledge what a joke so much of his life has been, he recently made the decision to return to stand-up after taking a self-imposed, 25-year, comedy performing hiatus. While Jim's not ready to quit his day job for stand-up, that's only because his day job is being retired and he doesn't need to work too hard at doing that. "Retirement is easy," Jim says. "Comedy-- that's hard." As easy and hard as those things are, Jim vows he'll die before giving up either. "I'm committed to doing nothing and to doing stand-up," Jim announced. "Because that's the kind of lazy but committed guy I've become."
