Drew Shafer got his start in comedy when he tried out for his 3rd grade talent show as a comedian and was told by his teachers that he should find a new talent. Drew did what any other kid would do (not listen to his teacher) and continued doing comedy. Drew blends self-deprecation, clever wordplay, and charming awkwardness to bring an energized and fun show everywhere he goes. He is a regular at the Pioneer Underground in Reno and has performed at The Comedy Store in La Jolla, Punchline Sacramento, and Laughs Unlimited. Drew has performed with comedians like Taylor Williamson, Felipe Esparza, Chris Franjola, and Craig Shoemaker. He appeared in the short film “Dear George” and has written and starred in comedy shorts for the 48 Hour Film Festival and the Reno Film Collective. His first film “Russian Roulette” has the most views of any Reno Film Collective short.
