Deanna's career began at 15, when she wrote a play about a television newsroom after watching Sports Night, years before HBO's The Newsroom. While it was deemed "too long"/"too unorthodox" (read: brilliant) for a high school production, she was encouraged to enroll in a school for creative students (read: gifted).
She interned for CNN before it was fake news and it was nothing like The Newsroom or her play that it was based on.
LA is where things really, somewhat moderately, took off. She became SAG in a role that proved that no part is too small, demeaning, or offensive. SAG was SAG (until it became SAG-AFTRA).
Deanna studied at Second City and UCB and co-created the "20s vs. 30s" webseries. It's been featured on Laughs TV, Right This Minute, and The Huffington Post, which means it's been seen by people other than her mom.
