Cody Carlson is a 20 year old standup comic from Frederick Maryland, now based in Los Angeles California. Cody originally started doing standup in his home state of Maryland where he was also able to venture out to other cities such as New York, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. to perform. Cody's influences include Conan O'Brien, Don Rickles, Kevin Nealon, as well as countless other comedians. Cody enjoys creating big punches in his comedy writing while trying to use as few words as possible to deliver the joke. Cody's short form joke writing allows him to segue through prominent topics in his life such as staring blankly in coffee shops, and being a young guy with a confusingly elderly tone. In 2017, Cody performed in the Magooby's Joke House new comedian of the year competition. He lives in Echo Park and enjoys walking, reading, and meditation.
