Mike Comer's first performance was as a shepherd in a Christmas play in grade school. His mother destroyed his teddy bear by using it’s fur to make a beard for his costume. After that traumatic experience, he was not interested in "performing". A couple of years ago, he was asked to speak at his niece's wedding. He just did a rant about how everybody calls him "Uncle Mike". For some reason everybody thought it was hilarious, so he did it again at his nephew’s wedding. Same result. Then his fans kept asking for more. So, now he devises new material and "takes it to the club". He wanted a teddy bear for Christmas - and got one.
