Anna Michelle Johnson grew up as a pudgy, awkward, video-game obsessed child in Central Florida. After spending her formative years making more friends in Animal Crossing than in real life, Anna decided to lose weight and become popular once she hit high school. Instead, she developed disordered eating and began secretly dating an older man. She's since started the road to recovery by switching to veganism and a relationship with a man her age, but struggles daily to not revert to her old ways. She now sticks to a strict regimen of daily oatmeal, working out 5 days a week and never choosing video games over social interactions. Anna has performed at the Burbank Comedy Festival. Inspired by comedians Esther Povitsky and Julio Torres, Anna's standup explores her fight against her own internalized ideas of beauty, social norms and acceptance.
