Amy Rubin was born and raised at Disney World - actually elsewhere in rural central Florida, but close enough. She attended the University of Florida, where she lived across the street from a wild alligator. She now lives in Boston and performs comedy at Boston area venues such as The Comedy Studio and ImprovBoston and on shows including $h!tfaced Stand-Up; Pick A Side, Stupid; Comet Comedy; and the Tolman Telethon. In her spare time outside of comedy, she practices law and tap dance, but almost never at the same time. She has danced on stages and in battles along the East Coast.
She started to pursue comedy because an old boss said her â€Å"sense of humor is an asset to the office," and she thrives on (requires large amounts of) positive feedback. She has been described by loved ones as "the least sociopathic Scorpio you'll ever meet."
