Julia Joy Wells, a Los Angeles native, is a writer, standup comic, and a trained pastor. So, while new to standup comedy she's not new to standing behind a mic. Behind standup mics she gets so very honest, sharing about her depression, therapy, and the many ways Christians practice faith. Some ways are stupid. Graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2018 she knows a lot about different faith practices; Christian life is just filled with so much tension, especially when you're a trained female pastor with depression, sometimes all you can do is laugh. She's had quite a bit of practice not just at laughing or depression, but also as a comedy writer for she writes sitcoms. In 2018 she presented a sitcom pilot stage reading.
