Sommer Austin originally hails from Des Moines, Iowa, and was called "maybe the most famous person" at the class of 1996 Valley High School 20-year reunion. A natural over-sharer, her brand of autobiographical humor occasionally borders on the absurd. Dubbed a comedian "we all should steal from" by The Chicago Tribune, Sommer has performed at the original Zanies in Chicago, Zanies Rosemont, Riddles Comedy Club, The Chicago Women's Funny Festival, the kates, Riot Grrrl Comedy Festival, Flappers, The Second City Chicago, Dat Phan and Friends, and many more.
