UNCLE CLYDE'S COMEDY CONTEST - is LA's Longest Running Comedy Contest, and you pick the winners. There are seven preliminary rounds. In each preliminary round, 10 comics performs a five-minute set. A special guest performer or group is invited to perform at Half Time and at Math Time (the end of the show while the votes are being tallied). The 1st place winner receives $101.00 Cash Prize, 2nd place receives a $50.00 gift card from Flappers Comedy Club or from another location, and 3rd place gets a Clyde's traditional Huge Side of French Fries. The top two finishers will be invited to perform in the Soup-Or-Bowl finals. Each Soup-Or-Bowl Audience Vote winner will receive $500.00 cash and the Judges Vote will receive a Professional Gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant. Second place wins a $50 gift card, and third place wins a huge side of fries. Top Three Soup or Bowl Winners will come back for semi final rounds and the end of the year and The top three performers from each playoff round will be invited to perform in The Clyde's Cup to be held once a year. OVER 360 Comedians and the Clyde's Cup is down to the top 10 of those. One Winner will get their name on a huge Trophy, along with a $2000 Cash Grand Prize ($1000 if a virtual show), a professional gig at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant.. YOU the audience pick the winner! Previous Winners have included Bil Dwyer, Bobbie Oliver, Randall Park, Samuel J Comroe, Keon Polee, Quinn Dahle, Cathy Shim, BT Kingsley, and many, many more.

Comedian Dave Reinitz
THIS AMERICAN LIFE, THE JIMMY DORE SHOW , COMEDY SPECIAL "SHARING"
Born in Detroit and raised in upstate New York, Dave Reinitz grew up working in the restaurant business and spent years traveling the country in an old motorhome before finally settling in Los Angeles. And after a couple of dear friends signed him up for a comedy class, he was forever changed.
Since then, Dave has performed in 6 countries and throughout the US alongside many of the biggest names in comedy. He has released 4 comedy specials: “Side Effects May Include” (2001), “Bowling for Common Sense” (2006), “Live in Bangladesh” (2014), and most recently, “Sharing” (2018). He has an eclectic set of credits including: “This American Life,” “Celebrity Near Death Experiences,” Hustler Magazine, and several appearances on “The Jimmy Dore Show.” Dave was also a founding member of the “Anti-War Comedy Tour,” and the “99% Funnies,” and produced and created the documentary, “The Women of Nostrand and Greene.”

Esther Sylvester is a Indian- American comedian living in LA, California. Being born and raised in India to an American mother from Texas and an Indian father she finds humor in fascinating cross-cultural stories and situations that lay deep-seated within people, their lives and their relationships. In life, she realized that her diverse upbringing nurtured her funny bone that helped her write comic sketches inspired by both real life and imaginative characters. Esther�s mentor is the legendary comedian Cary Odes and she made her successful debut at the Hollywood Improv in Cary�s class show. She is a regular to be seen in open mics in Los Angeles. Get ready to laugh it out from the East to the West.

Nick Alexander is a threat in the funny business as Comedian/Actor/Writer. He's been a standup ten years plus having traveled around the country performing gut busting bits based on his life and coming up as Haitian American. He's never shy to be the brunt of his own jokes and follows the Richard Pryor mold for mixing self deprecating humor with original characters and voices to showcase his full repertoire. After leaving NY for Los Angeles Nick became a member of the sketch troupe Cornbread Kitchen where he wrote and performed sketches on their monthly Black Twitter Show at the world famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on Sunset.

Born & raised in LA, Sammy Weiser is as hilarious (and high) as it gets. From improv at The Groundlings, to sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade, to her main focus, standup- she’s truly done it all. You’ve seen her perform all over LA (The Hollywood Improv, regularly closing out shows in the Belly room of The Comedy Store, Flappers main room). She’s been described as “a bit much” and actually has a BFA in comedy from Emerson College, so she’s certifiably funny. Sammy currently runs her own standup show (The Sweiser Show) at The Crow and works for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on their upcoming series Sausage Party TV

Originally from southern Illinois, Katie has worn the titles of Greene County Freckle Queen, whitewater raft guide, mobile billboard salesman and doctor of parks and recreation. She earned Best of the Fest at the Burbank Comedy Festival and performs throughout southern California. You can also hear her as co-host of the podcast Stoned N’ Social.

D.J. Demers is a funny guy who happens to wear hearing aids. He has performed on Conan, was a fan favorite on season 11 of America's Got Talent, and is a regular performer at the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Canada.
