Zainab Johnson, a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer is quickly being propelled as one of the most unique and engaging performers on stage and screen. Zainab was named one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics To Watch in 2019, she is currently a series regular on the new Amazon Original series titled "Upload" from Greg Daniels, she is one of the host for Netflix's show "100 Humans", and she made her first late night stand up appearance on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers. Zainab breakout appearances on HBO’s All Def Comedy and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, as well as Arsenio, BET’s Comic View, AXSTV’s Gotham Comedy Live! and starred in the very unique digital series titled Avant-Guardians.
Every Friday night, Flappers Comedy Club- Burbank presents live Comedy Entertainment right in the heart of Downtown Burbank, the Entertainment Capital of the world. Flappers is located at the corner of First and Magnolia. We have plenty of of Free Parking all over downtown and Lots of Laughs. Shows will run with major headliners at 8 and 10pm. Renee started her career as â€"Pipi†on the wildly popular television series Degrassi High.
Since then, she has taped two comedy specials (Comedy NOW! and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival Gala), performed at the Laughlin, Whistler, Burbank, and Winnipeg comedy festivals, and toured the country (that country being Canada) doing standup with the world’s largest chain of comedy clubs, Yuk Yuk’s. She has written, and performed on, numerous Canadian television shows, including being a series regular for four seasons on the hit sketch comedy show COMEDY INC, and is a Phil Hartman and Canadian Comedy Award winner.
She is a regular sketch performer on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and can be seen in The Thundermans, The Goldbergs, Workhaholics, and as a series regular in a new sketch comedy show Now We Know by the creators of King of the Hill and Silicon Valley.
