Kathleen Piche was born in the “Lilac Town” of Lombard, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. The youngest of four overachieving siblings, she attended all public schools. She overheard her brother listening to and trying to replicate the Dr. Demento radio show at a young age, and became addicted to 1970’s television shows, including Monty Python, SNL and the Tonight Show. She’s closing in on 25 years as a County Communicator (PR, Marketing, bullshit) and has won two LA Area Emmys for Public Service Programming. She’s a lifelong writer and lover of words, and has published short crime fiction and written a YA science fiction novel. Painfully shy in high school, she whispered jokes to her best friend who announced them and got big laughs. She seeks revenge as a stand-up now. Follow her @pichek1 on IG.
